Does your dog hate the groomer’s?
Ours is a quiet room in Dereham with one dog in it at a time. No cages, no queue of barking, no drying box. If yours is nervous, elderly, or has had a bad time somewhere else, start here.
Open Tuesday to Saturday · Dereham and about 10 miles round
How a visit goes
-
You ring and tell us about them
Breed, age, coat, and anything we should know — nips when you do their feet, hates the dryer, deaf, three legs. None of it is a problem. It's just useful to know first.
-
First visit is short on purpose
For a nervous dog we'll do a wash and a tidy, nothing more, and send them home. They learn the room is boring and safe. The full groom comes next time.
-
One dog in the building
We book an hour and a half and only have your dog in. Nobody is waiting, so nothing is rushed. If they need a break, they get one.
-
You get a text when they're done
With a note on how they got on and anything we noticed — a sore ear, a lump, matting starting behind the legs.
Prices
Full groom means bath, dry, clip or hand-strip, nails, ears and a tidy up. Price depends on size and coat, not breed — a matted cockapoo is more work than a clean labrador twice its size.
- Small terrier, pug, shih tzu
- £32
- Medium cocker, border collie, beagle
- £42
- Large retriever, GSD, doodle
- £55
- Bath and brush only any size
- from £22
- Nails only no appointment needed, just ring first
- £8
- First visit for a nervous dog short session, no full groom
- £15
Badly matted coats take longer and we'll tell you the price before we start, never after. We won't clip a matted dog short without talking to you first.

What people say
Example reviews. Written for this demo to show where real Google reviews would go. The names and words are made up.
Our rescue lurcher used to shake in the car park at the last place. Second visit here he walked straight in.
Bramble is fourteen and stiff in the back legs. They let her lie down for most of it and she came home happy, not worn out.
Spotted a lump behind his ear that I’d missed and told me when I picked him up. The vet was glad we caught it early.
Book a visit
Ringing is quickest, especially for a nervous dog — it's easier to talk it through. Otherwise leave your details and we'll call you back.
